Dear friends,
It is already mid-December, it's time for a much-needed holiday season break!
What a year! So many things changed during the last few months that I'm feeling a bit lost and exhausted. I suspended my instagram account without any plan to go back, removed Substack’s app from my phone (counting unfollowers is not healthy) and after Christmas, I am planning a break from WhatsApp or anything social. Looks like a massive withdrawal from the world, isn’t it?
I was thinking about some kind of reflection about my year or my plans for 2024 but I rather prefer sharing with you some of the people I’ve met here who inspired me in 2023. I hope you’ll discover some treasure!
thank you again for following my journey and for your support. I wish you all the best for 2024 and hope you’ll get through the holiday season wherever you are.
Love,
Lyly
I used to follow
on instagram so I’m so happy to see her here, she’s sharing all things about being a children’s book illustrator but with a funny twist !If you need to laugh,
,nothing else to say. ‘s work is a bit a fresh air! If you like nature, & art, that’s the place to be!turn any mundane situation into a story full of suspense, I love her!Her joy is contagious !
Hi Lyly! I found your substack through Valerie Lin's discord! I've only recently started being more active here, and this post was wonderful including the image you've chosen and the knowledge that there are other people out there who want to withdraw from the world for a while is comforting :>
Thank you for recommending some creators to follow! It is very helpful for a new person like me.
Have a relaxing rest and holiday season!
Wishing you a great rest. Thank you for the list Ill take a bit of time wandering and reading them
